In 1992, numerous participant and winner of the previous rally Rene Metzh manifests itself in the art of negotiation and diplomacy – he arranges a meeting between representatives of Russia and China. The outcome of the negotiations is an agreement to conduct this year’s Paris-Beijing rally.

The Japanese company Mitsubishi Corporation has declared itself as a sponsor and partner of the project.
Trocadero was slated as the starting point – the participants had to overcome a distance of 16 thousand miles and finish in Beijing. 93 car, 20 trucks and 15 motorcycles, along with their drivers were going to enter the “Guinness Book of Records” for this unusual distance rally. It was a unique event for the press, sports and just spectators watching forgotten by one country to another. This whole process was not only land but also air transport. Along with the cars during the entire route aircraft and helicopters done the same way, only the sky, and each performs some specific task.

And the winners of this grand rally were: Pierre Lartigue, together with Michel Perrin in a car Sitroen and Stefan Peteransel at Yamaha.
Because of this unusual and long route this marathon was almost on a par with such famous rally “Paris – Dakar rally. Currently, the organizer of the rally “Paris – Dakar rally is a Hubert Auriol, who was one of the pilots in the race Paris-Beijing.
